Judging the temperature of your oven with the Thermodial.

How do you know the oven temperture?

Common to both the Cookmaster and the Heatranger, the Thermodial gives a guide to the internal oven temperature.

Simmer 90 - 150ºC
Bake 150 - 200ºC
Roast 200 - 250ºC

rayburn timer Most Oil & gas fired models now have a thermostat to automatically control the burner, reacting to the temperature within the top oven. In addition most of these Rayburn's can also be programmed for specific cooking periods. Remember to allow extra time when programming for a 'cold' Rayburn to reach maximum roasting temperature.

A stove ought not smoke into the room. Is the door properly shut? Is the sealing rope in good condition? Perhaps the chimney is blocked!
