Wood Burning Stove.
Economical and carbon-neutral - but it's the scents and sight
that is special.

There is nothing quite like a wood stove fire. Perhaps it's a
primeval satisfaction of the scents, the flames and the direct
heat.
But remember only wood must ONLY be burnt in wood-burning
stoves.
It usually has a solid base and no ash retainer. This is to
discourage you removing the ash as the secret of a good fire in a
Woodburning stove is to have at least 2" of ash as the ash
insulates the wood and makes it burn longer. You only empty the ash
out completely at the end of the burn season-once a year! If the
ash builds up and spills over the ash lip just take a small shovel
off the top NOT ALL OF IT and put it onto your flower bed (make
sure its cold!) as its full of minerals that your garden will
love.
