For those who are able to
connect to the natural gas
network, there are Rayburn models
optimised for this fuel source
- offering the highest level of
convenience of fuel supply and
including the A‐rated boiler
efficiency. Alternatively, in rural
areas selected Rayburns can run
on LPG.
Whether running on oil or gas,
Rayburn Technology is among the
most advanced in the world,
with every model optimised to
deliver unrivalled efficiency ratings
and cost‐effective operation.
Control & efficiency.
One of the most common
misconceptions about Rayburn is that
they have to be 'always on'.
In fact, the opposite is true,
making them a bit like an
on‐off 'Aga'.
Even Rayburn solid fuel models
offer automatic thermostatic control,
while other fuel types allow
for fully programmable timers so that
the Rayburn only provides the
function you want when you need
it. That's why Rayburn recommends
a home survey to customers
before they commission and install
their range - to ensure they're
buying the right model to suit
their needs, and to recommend
the best way to use a
Rayburn in their home.
Flue Type Options:
- Conventional
Also known as Open Flue: The Rayburn needs to be installed with
the flue piping going into a lined masonry chimney or a
pre-fabricated twin-wall system.
- Balanced Flue
The Rayburn must be positioned against an outside an outside wall
for this option. No chimney is needed; the flue pipe goes directly
through a suitable outside wall.
Wall thickness:
- Standard: 250mm to 430mm
- Optional Extension: 430mm to 880mm
Power Flue*
Rayburns with power flues can be positioned virtually anywhere
in the home, up to a maximum of 5 metres and 5 bends from the
outside. A 2" (50mm) pipe travels from the Rayburn to a fan on the
outside wall.
