Different fires require different chimney specifications be it a traditional inglenook open fire, stove, inset fire or Victorian fireplace. Plus it also depends on which fuel it burns to what type of chimney you require and how successful the performance it gives. You may suffer from down drafts, Smokey chimney, too stronger draw and so on. We can supply and fit a variety of Cowls , Fans and Liner plus Artificial Chimney .
Is it necessary to have you chimney lined?
This is a question we get asked frequently, please read our
Installation page for information on the reasons why your chimney
should be lined and who can carry out the work.
NO CHIMNEY, NO PROBLEM! We can build you a chimney, by erecting one of our twin walled Artificial Chimney that can go through the building or up the out side allowing you to have the gas or solid fuel stove you’ve always wanted. Gas power flue, balanced flue or fluless appliances are an alternative option for some people who don’t have or want a chimney. Please contact us for further information on these types of model options.

| Solid fuel cowl (natural) | Top chimney cowl |
Colt Cowls use aerodynamic principles to create lift at the top of the chimney as air moves over it. This effect cures downdraught and shifts residual fumes and has been used in over 3 million installations.
Colt Top Chimney Cowls work on the same principle as the Colt Cowl but are more efficient as their rounded shape creates lift in which ever direction the wind blows, eliminating downdraught. Rain drains help divert water outside the chimney pot.

The Multi-fuel Rotorvent is a revolving cowl and ventilator which solves all problems of downdraught and can be used equally well for ventilation. Technical breakthroughs in spindle design and fin fixing make this the strongest and most durable around - and the high performance of the strong fins produces excellent draw in the chimney or ventilation shaft. |

| Exhausto fan for Solid fuel (inset: Speed control) | Exhausto fan for gas (inset left: Speed control with solenoid, inset right: exhaust wall fan) |
Exhausto Chimney fans solve even the most severe of downdraught and chimney problems and can help downsize chimneys for aesthetic and cost benefits. For use on all chimneys up to 10m high (with a maximum of 2 bends), wall or chimney mounted Exhausto fans are suitable for all fuels.
![]() Chimney Liner |
Stainless steel flexible liners, produce a continuous and unbroken flue from the appliance to the flue outlet. This prevents flue gasses escaping through disintegrating brickwork and provides the optimum flue diameter for the appliance. The outer skin is designed with a rib formation which allows good flexibility and is constructed to withstand the chemically hostile atmosphere of the chimney environment. |
